Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a short term, goal-focused psychotherapy used to identify and modify unhelpful thoughts, feelings, and behaviors.  It is probably the most widely used evidenced based therapy, and has proven to be quite helpful with depression, anxiety, and many other issues.

CBT is based on the theory that how we perceive a situation affects what we think and feel, which in turn influences our behaviors. By providing skills to confront and replace unhelpful thoughts, as well as sharpening problem-solving abilities, this type of therapy can be used in conjunction with other treatment modalities for benefits that may last a lifetime. CBT is a collaborative effort between client and therapist, so I will be your partner and guide in this process.
